I’ve been to two summits so far, and both didn’t disappoint. It’s definitely worth the travel coming all the way from Maui. I especially enjoyed last year’s summit—it was awesome seeing familiar faces and building deeper relationships with people I had met before. The instructors are amazing, super approachable, and always willing to answer questions and share techniques. Looking forward to this year’s summit, God willing!

The CAS summit 2024 was eye opening for me. As a black belt in BJJ I was mostly aware of my lack of knowledge when it comes to fighting with and over weapons both projectile and edged. I was not aware of how much information and knowledge was out there for me to learn and grow in the subject. CAS served as a flame to reignite my drive to learn and be as good as I can be for my students and family. Since CAS 2024 I have been able to get certified through Aaron Jannetti and Knife Control Concepts as a level one instructor and I have had the honor of learning Directly from John Valentine when we brought him out for as weekend seminar. Our school will also be hosting Jerry Wetzel for an edged weapons workshop in August. All of these opportunities and connections came from the CAS summit. It has been instrumental in my development as a martial artist and instructor!

I attended the inaugural event in 2023. I knew it was going to be pivotal but it was EPIC! The instructors where the cream of the crop of some of the best combatives instructors in the industry. Every block of instruction was based around real world self defense and fighting in all environments including fighting with weapons, deep thinking, structure clearing, fighting in vehicles, using language and awareness, barbell training, knife defense and more. One other element that was demonstrative, half of the attendees where instructors themselves. This means that they live up to what we espouse and that is DOING THE WORK. Get signed up, it’s a life changing event.

It’s been such an all-star lineup each time that my only regret was not getting to go to every single section. Great atmosphere, great training, anyone would benefit (military, LEO, civilian).

Well I’ve only attended last year and I stand by the fact that I learned more in three days than I have in the prior three years. I was able to to take something from each block I attended and implement it into our current program. Not to mention the awesome networking.

It's very information packed, and very physical. I was exhausted after all 3 days both mentally and physically. But that's a good thing. I took home an entire notebook of notes that I still reference and got to meet tons of trainers and vendors that have helped us on our path to teaching these things to students. Go with an open mind and a friendly attitude, and you'll be perfectly fine.

Only attended the 2023 Summit, but will be back out in 2026. For me living in the UK, trying to get out to the states to train with different coaches can be difficult, so that's what I like most about the summit is that it allows me to train with coaches I have followed for a long time, at the same location. I also love the fact that all the attendees have the same view on training and have zero ego.

Been to both of them. *MY* favorite part is watching the body language of the attendees & staff instructors. When actual intense- experience level men are casual & hospitable with everyone, the positive attitude steeps through like tea in the warm water. There's always a couple insecure newcomers I can observe; one will be postured like a new contestant backstage at his first MMA fight.. By the end of the first two hours that all starts to melt. After lunch of the first day, they know that this is a welcome table. While there are some truly dangerous men and women in the room, it's the most encouraging room you could hope to be in. I love that spirited atmosphere. That encourages true growth.

All levels are welcome! The training is structured to challenge both beginners and experienced practitioners.
No! This event focuses on real-world self-defense, not sport fighting.
A training mindset, comfortable gear, and a readiness to learn from the best.
